She was in a loaned hospital bed, looking frail but yet smiling at me. A queen size bed next to her’s took up almost all of the available space in the small room. Ever since she returned from the hospital, she has insisted that we all sleep in the same room.
Her mother explained.
When I asked if her child had received such services, her response was, Well, my child isn’t at the end-of-life stage yet, so I don’t think we need palliative care services.
Right there in front of me was Aunty Cheng… with a beaming smile to say, How would you like me to share my story?
I was 8 and in Year 3 of my schooling when I attended the Entrepreneurship Curriculum. It was the foundation that geared my enthusiasm in sourcing funds for the various charity organisations.

Together with mum Ashley, he would bake and distribute muffins to community heroes in the neighbourhood. They would use part of the proceeds for Project Kindness to give hope, joy and love back to our community. The rest was kept for his savings, special projects and for his therapy.
